Property Description
La Cuccagna is a lovely stone-built farmhouse situated in a very panoramic position in the hills of Piacenza. This area, with its beautiful landscape, is famous both for its magnificent castles (still lived in by the area’s noble families, such as the Gonzaga) and for the production of very good wine. Close to La Cuccagna, there is a trekking centre where it is possible to arrange horseback riding trips in the beautiful surroundings. The house has recently been beautifully renovated, using authentic materials, such as cotto floors and beamed ceilings. It has been furnished to a very high standard by an Italian interior designer, who has used elegant antique country furniture. One hundred meters from the house, in front of a lovely free-form swimming pool, there is a guest house with a very well equipped bar and an open kitchen and barbecue. In the same guesthouse, there is a suite for clients’ use. The housekeeper and his wife live in the back of the guesthouse. There is a very friendly dog on the property.
